Nights that end at three. Mornings that begin already tired. Sleep is not a luxury to be reclaimed by discipline; it is a medical function, and when it fails there is a reason. We look for the reason, one client at a time, with a psychiatrist in clinical charge, our own Swiss clinic, and a residence built around rest.
Nobody has ever willed themselves to sleep. Treatment is what happens instead.
Insomnia is a symptom before it is a diagnosis. Behind it we regularly find sleep apnoea, a thyroid out of range, chronic pain, depression or anxiety, or a dependence on the very substances taken in order to sleep. Our own clinic completes the picture: laboratory, cardiology, sleep assessment, the full history of what has been tried. Treatment starts from the cause, not from the symptom.
The aim is sleep that returns on its own, not sleep that arrives on prescription. Your programme is built around one person: cognitive and behavioural work on sleep, one to one; medication withdrawn or reset where it has become part of the problem; daylight, movement and meal timing rebuilt around a rhythm that holds when you go home. Clinical responsibility sits with Dr. med. Jonas Montagna, FMH specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy, and your record stays in Switzerland, under Swiss medical secrecy.
