First, safety.
Alcohol withdrawal is a medical event, and we treat it as one. A full assessment comes before day one, and the detox happens where you live, under continuous nursing supervision.
Then, the part that changes things.
A detox that ends at sobriety has not ended anything. The reasons are addressed in psychotherapy, and the return home is prepared with the same care as the first night.
